After 30 years of impaired vision, Malaysian receptionist Tey Siong Tieng regained his sight through a pioneering stem cell procedure at 23 Century Medical Group.

Led by Dr Angelina Tiah, the treatment used Wharton’s Jelly-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells to regenerate damaged retina cells and restore visual function.

At DocTok, we see stem cell technology as a breakthrough with potential to treat rare conditions and shape the future of restorative healthcare. For Tey, this breakthrough means finally being able to read, walk with confidence, and plan for his future. For his father, it’s witnessing his son rediscover the world he once could not see.

Imagine losing vision for decades and regaining it through science.
